Many would say it’s the job of the artist to inspire, but really, it is to be inspired. Inspired to move, moved to feel, feeling moved to create. re:mused aims to explore the give and take between what inspires and what comes from that inspiration.

Our botanical-inspired stationery and gifts offer a unique and coordinating approach to a range of products from double-sided gift wrap and greeting cards to notepads and tea towels. Blending hand drawn illustrations with watercolors and gouache, our pattern collections are influenced by nature's palette and rooted in a love of historical styles like William Morris’ Arts & Crafts and Liberty London’s ditsy florals, making them timeless and elevated additions to shops of all sizes.

re:mused studio is run by owner and artist, Larissa Waters, a Bay Area born, San Francisco based multi-disciplinary creative. She grew up drawing, painting, getting her hands on any craft she could and wandering the aisles of the packaging design firm her mother worked the front desk for. After receiving her BA in Graphic Design from California College of Arts & Crafts (now California College of the Arts), she spent the next two decades working in small design studios, advertising agencies, and eventually went on to become a Creative Director in the marketing department of a menswear corporation. But the pull back to working with her hands again found her in the world of surface pattern design and those seeds grew into what re:mused studio is today, taking pattern to product.

The studio emphasizes thoughtfully designed and sourced products. Choosing local and eco-friendly manufacturers and supplies whenever possible, is core to the studio's values. Connecting with community and empowering women is also crucial to how re:mused studio functions. We give back a portion of proceeds throughout the year to two foundations of which we feel strongly about their impact: Living Beyond Breast Cancer (Providing trusted information and a community of support to all impacted by breast cancer) and World Central Kitchen (providing fresh, nourishing meals to communities impacted by natural disasters and humanitarian crisis).
